Did you buy car, home or landlords insurance before 1 June 2025?

If you purchased a Kogan car, home or landlords insurance policy prior to the 1 June 2025 that is underwritten by our previous underwriter QBE Insurance, you can find more information on this page.

What you need to know

Kogan Insurance no longer partnered with their previous underwriter QBE Insurance from 2 June 2025. As such cover will end at the current end date on your Certificate of Insurance (COI).

We won’t be cancelling policies before their end date. The end date of your policy can be found in your Certificate of Insurance (COI). It’s on the front page, under the ‘Your Policy Renewal Summary’ heading with the exclamation mark.

What happens next?

You’ll receive an email with the details of when your policy is ending. You can also check your COI for the current end date.

What you need to do

If you would like to continue your insurance with Kogan, you can purchase a new policy with our new underwriter Allianz. It’s important to understand there may be some differences between your expiring policy and our new product. Please read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) to understand the terms of cover in our new insurance product.

For more information, access to the PDS and to purchase a policy please visit our website koganinsurance.com.au.

Alternatively, you can visit the Insurance Council of Australia at insurancecouncil.com.au. They’ll be able to direct you to an insurance provider who can help you find the right policy for you.

What do I do if I need to make any changes to or cancel my current policy if it was purchased  before 3 February 2022 and underwritten by the previous insurer Hollard?

We’re here to help and you will still be able to make changes or cancel your policy during the policy period. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Phone: 1300 034 888

Email: customerservice@koganinsurance.com.au

Will this renewal decline affect me getting insurance in the future?

It shouldn’t, since the reason for not renewing is because the policy or product no longer exists. It’s not something you’ve done. If you’re not sure about how to answer any questions when you’re applying for a new policy, you should call the insurer you’re applying to and ask.

What should I do if I have a complaint?

If you have a complaint or dispute for your policy dated before 3 February 2022, we are committed to resolving it as quickly as possible. Please refer to the Hollard complaints process on our website for more information.
